(Wasn't sure whether to post this as a forum discussion or just blog it.) Hi all. It was short notice but I had sent out a text to the crew I know on Saturday evening regarding a lunch run to the Flowerdale pub. I had seen on the tv that the Yarra Valley were screaming for business after the fires so thought this would be a good idea. There ended up being just the three of us, Kate, Joe the Bugger and myself, which was cool. I would've been a big girl and gone by myself if no one else could make it. It was eery riding up the slide with the denuded trees in the sepia-toned landscape.
