Beautiful Bonnie

I went for a ride this morning with my brother into Melbourne and this awesome looking bike rolled up and parked close to where we were. My brother says "it's a triumph". Sure enough, there were Triumph badges on the engine. I asked the owner who told me it is a 68 or 69 (i forget now) Bonnieville. He has owned it since the early 70's and has done all the work himself, making most of the parts along the way. Now, it's not my type of ride, but I thought it was a work of art and might be appreciated by many here.

Think thats the same one we saw at the ABR two years ago. I think. That one was driven there in a truck though and the owner was reluctant to get it wet.

Thats the one. Well, he rode it into the city today, and I gotta say, it sounds pretty awesome too. It looks a handfull to ride tho.

By the way he did say he has problems with water getting down the exhaust and causing rust, which looks obvious when you look at the exhaust!!!

bet hes not riding tomorrow though. He'll need the whole day to polish the thing. When we saw it at the ABR we just assumed that it was strictly a show bike.
He needs to turn the ends of the exhaust to the back dont you think .
