Tom reminds me of someone on the flux lol. Not looks , but the ride style
Classic stuff though. Imagine waving your arm like that to show slowing down . People today would think you were hooning or having a go. You'd be booked by the borg revenue collectors for sure.
when cars and bikes did not have indicators and hand signals were all that was available. The left hand turn did not have an official signal and folk used to stick their arm out of the window an point.
Just as well I like being old.
The bikes in the film did not have mirrors. Just as well the traffic was light.

When i first started working i was driving trucks around at 13 , only on quiet roads but the signal for a left turn was hand up in the stop position , we had those metal hand things on an extend able arm , arrr those were the days
I remember the first family car we got with the new state of the art blinkers system . It used to pop up from a recess inbetween the doors and blink away. When it stopped popping oiut dad stuck it popped out there pernanently . He continued to use those hand signals though . I remember the stop sign as boof describes and another with the arm turned downwards . Have no idea what that meant because everytime we asked him he said it meant that if we didn't shut up he'd give us a clip around the ears.
Good find
Thanks Boof, that's a great clip!
..and the Magic Matchless.... see how iit can accelerate while Tom signal's with his right hand??
In spite of its age, still a useful lesson, but how dleighfully corny!
