Extinction, alongside actress Milla Jovovich.

resident evil 2

Resident Evil: Extinction, which is the third instalment in the Resident Evil series, picks up where Resident Evil: Apocalypse left off. It’s been nearly five years since the events of the apocalypse, and biological engineering pharmaceutical company The Umbrella Corporation has failed to control the T-Virus outbreaks that have killed nearly every human on the planet. There’s nothing harder to kill than something that is already dead – the deathly virus has infected 99 per cent of the earth’s population – and things are not easy for Alice (Milla Jovovich) and her companions Carlos Oliviera (Oded Fehr), L.J. (Mike Epps) and Claire (Ali Larter). On the way to Arcadia – the only place in Alaska where human beings can still survive – the group once again has to fight against the grim schemes of Dr. Isaacs (Iain Glen) and the Umbrella Corporation. Isaacs has had Alice cloned hundreds of times to form a battle armada so as to be able to control those infected as well as the survivors. But an anti-virus has mutated and apparently nothing can stop the mutant. Alice, Carlos and L.J. join forces to try and eliminate the disease… and seek justice for all who remain. Australian director Russell Mulcahy took the reins of Resident Evil: Extinction along with well-established team of producers Bernd Eichinger, Samuel Hadida, Robert Kulzer, Jeremy Bolt and Paul Anderson. Having already directed a host of action movies including Highlander and Resurrection, Mulcahy was keen to inject the plotline with a series of explosive battles, edge-of-seat stunts and mind-blowing special effects. Scenes involving the BMW K 1200 R were particularly powerful, with Alice taking advantage of the motorcycle’s powerful appearance, impressive 163 hp and blistering top speed. Viewers will see Milla Jovovich’s character riding through the Mexican desert landscape, arriving at the network station, at night by the campfire and in the film’s main showdown. Suffice to say that the BMW K 1200 R proved to be the perfect partner to Jovovich’s resilient character, giving her on-screen presence, power and influence. The first two films – Resident Evil and Resident Evil: Apocalypse – have generated a total turnover of over US$ 600million worldwide to date. Resident Evil: Extinction will receive its world premiere on 20 September in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino, and further release dates for the film are as follows: • UK – 21 September • Germany – 27 September • Italy – 26 October • Spain – 31 October • South Africa – 5 October • Australia – 25 October For other worldwide movie release dates, please visit: www.sonypictures.com/movies/residentevilextinction/international And for more general information about Resident Evil: Extinction, please visit www.sonypictures.com/movies/residentevilextinction Source http://bmw-k.com/
