This sounds great. I'll ask some others and get back to you asap , but I can see no reasons why I will not be going. If the westies want to get an early start , they are welcome to stay here on the friday night for an early , but not 'as early' start to the meet point . Might even make you all breakfast . I made it 10.00am so the westys have time to get to the main meet. All you married guys have to do is spend the next 2 weeks doing a bit of begging and house work so you can talk the missus into letting you go,, haharrrrrra. Came on,, Its going to be a good one,,,If she put up a stuggle the finial resort is,,,, well darling,,, you can came toooooooooooooooooooo,,, we can take the kids to grannys or in most cases,,, the kids can ride there owen motorcycle and came as well.HaHa Some thing to think about. Sorry Jaz, This Is not a happy moment and Is not intended to up set your ride nor to high Jack your ride. There has been enough feed back from people willing to attend the Lacola Weekend the weekend after the 28th& 29th of March on the 4th & 5th of aprill,, This is unintentional and I hope you will not take offence. This event is about all of us sticking together,, its ower first overnighther,,, yes there has been a bit of turmoile lately in forums but as a group we all have a bond with each other, we all take the risk of riding motorcycles. We have all made great friends. This ride /campout is about continuing ower group. Some how on rides we just all seem to click ,,, its not always that way on forums,, we all respect each other opionons on the day and mostly the forums disagreements are forgotten, or put aside to make the ride enjoyable. We enjoy each others company in a nut shell. We have something here,,, we love to ride with eachother we respect and know how each other moves on the road and look after each other. Its very importiant we keep this thing going (whatever owe club is called,,, It really doesnt matter) This is why I would like to see a gathering of all,that have riden with us in the last few years and would want to see you all show up to the Lacola Camp out,, with that, I had asked Kate to make this ride public,, which means its open to be copied to other forums and hope you all plan around getting to this ride. I feel I have robbed jez of his ride in the hills for this one,, But on that note, I think hope he understand the importance of the bonding sestion this will produce over the long term of keeping this ride group going. It will be the last time( I hope the dates will clash) Jez did a great job in the bush fire fundriser ride,, I'm hoping he will forgive me for the ride in the hills clash and the ballarat boys show up on the Lacola Campout Run. Well we can only wish, hope to see all you guy & girls there. Doent matter where we Chat, as long as we still chating and stick together for rides. Thats where its at. Cheers Bugger Rat.

Sorry Buggs I have spent approx $70 and just as many hours promoting the ride for the hills in the ballarat area. I have also been liasing betweem different ride groups to head there in a column. so I will be attending that. Jez

Hi Ya Bugger. I've got a suggestion for you. Since this rides been changed already , and given that the ride you say is Jez's ride is in fact a feeder run into a Bushfire Relief ride which every group in Victoria is attending - a huge event , and one which we should support , ; and given that the VJMC is on the day before , I am going to ask , pretty please with sugar and spice on top , if you'll change this again.

My suggestion is this . Open the Calender via the link up top but right mouse click on the link and choose open link in new window. In the calendar next to the month click one of those arrows and you'll see April. You can then see easily which days are free of booked rides . For instance , the w/e following and the w/e after that are both free. 

I kinow I've done this changing of dates foor you and I should have pointed this out before this , but I was confused with the relief ride and the greendale run . I kinow you dont like this chopping and changing and that theres sms involved , but , the worst date we could have for the groups meet , is this date .

 

Please , pretty please , could you change it again to one of the two w/e following.

Yeah ok, the weekend after that is Easter weekend, Its a good time to be off the road and not go anywhere, Accom's going to be hard to get,,, at lacola,, I do agree with you this weekend is not good As it does interfer with Jez's Ride in the hills Ride and yes lets try for the weekend of 18th and the 19th of aprill.

Please can we make this a finial date.

The Lacola Caravan Park is fully booked out by the 4x4 club that weekend.

Snowee rang up a day or two ago to book a cabin, He was told the park is booked out solid that weekend.

So I'm going to leave this ride for next spring sometime in Oct- Nov.

Due to the caravan park being  fully booked, But we do plan on having a ride on that date,,,, more than likly just a local ride for the day,,,,,,,, stay tuned or submit a suggestion.

 Mirboo nth pub could be good for lunch. Kickarse hamburgers on a plate cheap there , and then theres the roads .....yummm

Theres also a Brewrey there K8, I think Its open for lunch,,, they make the best shandys and food of couse, but my that for a overnighter for the winter time, theres a golf club that has cabins for $40 per night,,, but yeah lets just do the day trip the next weekend is a big one.

That's a top spot to ride, the sweepers between Thorpedale and Mirboo North might have been built by a motorcyclist.  Definitely the Mirboo North pub for lunch, good food good prices car and bike memorabillia on the walls and they have a frog in the table too!

yummmm. Those sweepers are sweet , lunch at the pub , and then the road back from leongatha is also a favourite ride , or we could cut off that road and head to the pub at - cant remember it , the place that has rodeos all the time not far from cranbourne. That area is littered with great roads , though admittedly the surfaces on some are starting to break up.

Just wondering about the meetpoint and route. We've always done this ride from Woori Yallock , out through noogee and the sweepers from thorpedale. Whi is going ? are we still meeting at dandenong or doing the thorpedale route. Tomcat ? , you going ? 

We Can start  Woori  and go the same way as we did the other week,,, Its a better Road.

Another perfection day with 15 bikes showing up in the course of the day,,,, a great turn out thanks to Knuckle and a few mates for meeting us half way,,,,, boy those guys know how to ride,.

Some of the best twistys in the east were had, lunch was fantastice, top hamburgers.

Thanks also to speed xxx, Bdt100, Filthy, stealth, tomcat, K8, Bottle & son, Deno, knuckle and friends,,,,,,, it was a top ride, see most of you at the All british rally next week.

 

Certainly was a good day. For a moment there I thought I was it but then Filthy turned up and we admired our sprints glistening despite their unwashed state. A coffee and a hot Chocolate , the Tomcat and seconds later the meetpoint filled with the roar of bikes arriving.

Great Day , Great roads , Great company. Great also to see Speed and Bdt and Knuckle again. Its been too long, and its always good to ride with those boys.

you would have loved this one Rapunzel. The front group after we left Willow Grove were absolutely belting along, probably a touch to fast really. We hit the thorpedale twists and sweepers at what might be considered excessive speed ans at one point there were 6 of us same distance apart just flowing through those roads like we were attached , and then , from nowhere , A harley rider passed us all as if we were standing still . I spoke to him later and he had a superglide like no other , totally modded out with a clearance most sportsbikes would love.

Could not believe it. When you get passed at 80kmh *edited because i just realised this thread is public and besides , as you know , we never speed - its like totally irresponsible * , on a sweep , and your like concentrating like your life depends on it , and you get passed by a harley , well, just goes to show I guess .

Yeah he was  fully-sick, so were the some of the other guys,,, I was touching speed of 150klm after leaving willow grove and they where still getting further away,,,, The porsha's maust have been doing 130klm,,,,,, The porsha club was also out on a run.
