Tassie Tour day 1
Gday All
Glenda and me got home this morning at 07.00hrs 18/03/09 after ten days Tasmania, we left Melbourne on the 07/03/09 @ 21.00hrs,good smooth crossing arriving in Devonport at 07.00hrs. from Devonport we headed for Stanley via Ulverstone,Burnie and Wynyard about 10.00hrs we arrived at our accomadation Stanley, we left the luggage at the motel and checked out the sights.
The Nut is a big rock in Stanley so we took the chair lift to the top and walked around the area took some photos, (but you wont see them coz i cant post em) after the Nut we walked around the town checking out all the old homes, then off to the pub for a cold beer, sat out the back looking over Sewyer Bay. 21.c not a cloud in the sky ,magic.
Had dinner at the motel, (Stanley Seaview Inn) roast lamb washed down with a good red then desert and coffee yum ! left Stanley for Cradle Mountain the next day.
