Lava Palava

I like to have my bum over the footpegs and a slight forward lean.

I want to be able to put my weight on the pegs and lower the centre of gravity if needed and find a little lean forward absorbs shocks better on my back instead of being bolt upright and having my discs compressed with every little bump.

Hmm , maybe I should get a job as a Test Dummy.   Yeah yeah, I know ,,, I am under-qualified.   Ha ha.!

Crash tester..

Is this what your helmet looks like TJ ...?

Nah, Mines Way More Expensive

Some cruel people say I spent too much trying to protect something that doesn't work anyway.

But I KNOW you would'nt be one of those people would you Paul.!!!

Mines cheaper but works well.

Never TJ ..dread the thought !

Sticking your neck out

Seems to me that they had the tools to do a much more comprehensive study. The neck extension report is pretty much "so what?" to anyone who's ridden different types of bike and the report misses out on concluding what the overall effect of neck extension means in practice (riding and umm falling off)

There needs to be heaps more support for studies like these so that they can take in more factors and then draw conclusions useful to people selecting and riding different types of bike.  I love this stuff, but it asks more and more questions.  If  we took more of this, and less "blame idiot riders" the debates would be deeper.  Sure as hell we need that!  I am so tired of campaigns targeting irresponsible riders, when my greatest concerns are about motorists who don't pay attention.

(Cellphone chatting / makeup preening / hamburger munching / latte slurping / competing with other motorists)

My 2 bob,s worth

I think that if we all just road our bikes and stopped sounding like victims all the time we might be left alone to do just that

All the studies and meetings and experts mouthing of will not stop people speeding on bikes because it feels good , it wont stop people talking on MOBILE phones (we don't have cell phones) while driving cars (not cages) so the less noise we make i think we will be left alone , start looking after yourself and what you do not what other people do and life will be a lot better for all of us
