We Won

What a bloody ripper................We won!

The final race at the Island was great fun.
We managed to get a first, second and a third to round off the collection. Giving me a second place for the round and enough points in total to take out the win for the season.
However is could have easily all gone very wrong.
On the way out for practice on the Friday, my chain came off.
That can be very bad at speed. Sometimes hitting another rider or smashing the cases of the engine. Thankfully it happened in the pit exit lane only doing about 80 Kph.
If it had come off during any of the races it would have been the end of the championship .

Craig was almost out with a broken gearbox but managed to borrow another Yamaha to do the last 2 races.
But the turn up for the weekend was TAS the wet weather demon. Winning 2 races in the DRY! Apart from a small tumble in race 2 he set a blistering pace and none of us could catch him.

But the star of the show was again the little 150 cc superlite. With a few modifications, the cheap piece of Chinese crap went like a little beaut! But the Long Phillip Island straight was just a bit too far for it. Sitting on the rev limiter from the entry to turn 12 all the way down pit straight then through turn 1 to sothern loop. I think the gearing was all wrong..... Bring on Broadford in 3 weeks!!!!

Next race......... Seniors weekend Broadford 22nd & 23rd
Then The Hughie Hoare Endurance race. September 19th 20th

Cheers!
